The words 'X Factor' and 'credible' tend not to go hand in hand, but Aiden Grimshaw is an exception. His debut album "Misty Eye" went on sale this week and quite simply it's very good. I think that everything from the marketing image to lyrics of his music are spot on in his attempt to break out of the whole Simon Cowell bubble. Both his work and general being of an artist is down to earth, seemingly very original and genuine. And for me there's a real sense of wanting to listen intently to the record, probably a positive sign. It will be interesting to see the reaction and also what sort of crowd takes to his work.
