DIARY: LIBERTY x NIKE FREE RUN+2 PURCHASE

Well, after a few weeks of deliberation (admiration, more like) and having been assured by the sales assistant in Liberty's Stratford pop-up that this was very much a unisex pair of shoes, I have made the purchase. As part of the second running collection by Nike and Liberty London, it was this pepper print Free Run sneakers that I had my on. And as much as I feel guilty for spending a silly £100 for these, I feel very pleased because they're fucking cool.

MAG: TYLER JAMES SINGLE TEAR OFFICIAL VIDEO

After gaining much admiration and support on The Voice UK, Tyler James has unveiled his first new track since starring in the show, where I feel he probably should have won. Entitled "Single Tear", it perhaps isn't a song with which comes the sufficient impact that he deserves, but it's clear to see the direction that his music will be headed towards. This actually sounds a lot like "Cry Me A River" by Justin Timberlake, just not quite as strong. But, backed by the multitalented Will.i.am and other top producers, as well as his own impressive artistry, I'm excited to hear what he's been busy preparing this year. This single is out for download on October 14. Keep an eye out for more from Mr James, definitely worth the anticipation.

BLOG: TOKYO LIVING BY MASAYA SUGIMURA

Japanese filmmaker Masaya Sugimura presents a day in Tokyo with this beautifully put together time lapse video from across the various landscapes of the city from sunrise to nighttime. Combined with the calm, slightly playful music by Cranston, it shows the city in a peaceful light, a life civilised and hard-working, I think reflecting well the modesty that is often portrayed with the people of Japan. There's certainly a sense of quietly getting on with their settled lives, that makes for a really relaxing, tranquil short film.

Ahead of 2012 Paris Design Week, London-based designer Romain Pascal brings to the table this cradle lamp. The understated lamp is detachable to also act as a handheld torch, fixed with a cord and smart aluminium structure. Finished with a concrete base, its aesthetics are appealing to the minimalist, keeping to good design in quality and function.

MAG: ELLIE GOULDING ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN VIDEO

As the build-up towards her second album "Halcyon" continues, Ellie Goulding has released the official video for her lead single "Anything Could Happen". The song was unveiled with that fan lyric Instagram video a few weeks back, but now featuring a solemn beach and bloodied lovers, it's ready to watch and the hype goes on.

DIARY: DELILAH AT VOGUE'S FASHION NIGHT OUT

Went to have a look at what was happening in London for Vogue's Fashion Night Out after volunteering today, with my tired legs. But it was definitely worth it, being able to catch Delilah perform an acoustic set at Topshop, Oxford Circus. Showing off her beautiful vocals and tracks from her debut album "From The Roots Up", it was a nice intimate appearance that I very much enjoyed.

DIARY: PARALYMPICS AT THE AQUATICS CENTRE

I was lucky enough to watch the evening session at the Aquatics Centre yesterday for the Paralympics Swimming. Lucky, because it was quite simply extraordinary. I had already seen and been in awe of the action on TV earlier this week, amazed by what these athletes can do with their less-able-than-us bodies. But to watch it live in the arena was something else. So so incredible.

It wasn't just the sport and racing that I enjoyed, the atmosphere was really special, something we should feel very proud of as a nation and as a city. The crowds are so welcoming, so supportive, passionate, empathetic, vocal, together. No doubt is it one of the huge reasons why London 2012 has been so successful. The roars echoing inside the Aquatics Centre alone was enough to satisfy me of my ticket value. And to have been a part of it, I'm delighted.

A great day out, a great sense of satisfaction that I soaked up the Olympic vibe. And an equal satisfaction that we held the greatest Games ever.

BLOG: CHANNEL 4 PARALYMPICS OPENING SEQUENCE

This is the opening sequence for Channel 4's Paralympic coverage by Liquid. The tune is absolutely killer, Public Enemy's "Harder Than You Think", such an on point selection, cut to a beautifully fluid and fresh animation. The BBC's was good, but this is pretty good too.

DIARY: PARALYMPICS OPENING CEREMONY

At about 3pm on the day of the Opening Ceremony for the London 2012 Paralympic Games, my Games Maker mother gave me a call to say she had gotten her hands on a pair of tickets. And how grateful I was. I too was volunteering during the Olympics, and away from the action at the Rowing Village in Surrey, which meant I didn't get the chance to see the venues and feel the buzz. So I was desperate to go somewhere, anywhere.

Sure the show itself was kind of naff, and applauding the competing teams into the stadium for a long two hours isn't the most entertaining thing, but to be a part of the 80,000-strong army of enthusiastic, welcoming and patriotic supporters was special. The minute Great Britain was introduced, the place went wild and what a moment. I absolutely loved it. Add to that the live fireworks, the royals sat just a few rows behind me, seeing Birdy perform and watching the beautiful cauldron alight, it was a magnificent occasion.

The French brand and Nike released a very handsome drop of footwear for F/W '12 this week. The popular Dunk High and Air Max 1 silhouettes are given a lush monotone design, fit to complete a very slick look for any occasion. The navy ones being my favourite for sure, so beautiful.

I've been in love with the Air Max 1 since early pictures were revealed, and would absolutely love to get my hands (or more accurately my feet) on them. How and where does one do that here in the UK?! Is it sold out already?
